Crop Night

Here's a page from the recent Gold Eyelet crop night over on UK Scrappers.

It was from a sketch provided by Sue from CCW for their November challenge. I used papers from the July quirky kit from Crafty templates which I haven't manage to use all of yet.

Who's There?

This Lo of Minstral was done using the latest Quirky kit from Crafty Templates for the October challenge on the Truly Madly Crafty Blog.

I cut the flowers off the American Craft Amy tangerine sign on the dotted line paper and coloures them in. I then used the reverse of this paper and the red side of Lily bee design memorandum board room to cut random size pieces to place the photo on.

Some Disney Magic

This Lo was created for this weeks challenge over on UKScrappers and set by Jules (Julesmichelle). We had to create a LO with the following critriea.

Home/house theme - whether it be an actual property, a dream home or more loosely based such as "Home is where the heart is" (10 points)

Include a list (10 points)

Use your favourite colour (5 points)

Include a trio of something (5 points)

when I first so this I paniced and wondered what I would do for the house theme. But I looked through some old photos waiting to be scraped and found one of the castle from our trip to DisneyLand Paris a few years ago. I added a list of things to do in the park like meet characters, watch parade and of course have fun. I chose purple as my favourite colour and even though I'm not a pink girl I love the combination of purple and hot pink. Lastly I added three flowers which are made up of layering three different flower.

Another starting pioint.

After the success of the starting point challenge last week Shimelle added a new on to her blog this week.

I didn't choose these papers the photo did. It's surprising how many different colour combinatons you can get out of one collection of paper. This is another LO using the Penny Lane Collection from My minds eye with a few added extras.

On The Move

This is my take on this weeks sketch challenge over on Shimelles Blog. I chose two photos of Molly on her new scooter cut a 2 skate boards of different sizes a bike and the numbers 1, 2 , 3, from Sesame street friends Cricut cartridge and the shape letters fronm the sesame street font.

All you have to do is smile

This is one of the last challenges from Shimelle we had to use this LO To create your own.

I had a few problems here as I don't have any bingo cards, surprising I know. Well I had to make my own version. Instead of adding numbers I used a piece of patterned paper and cut the word smile out of the top then added some embellishments. Again for the photos I had to improvise and made a strip of photos. These are not a colour combination I go for but having them in a kit allowed be to be daring.

Add a story

Here's another challenge from Shimelle (I've nearly finished)was to add a story to a past LO. Well Journaling has never been my strong point so there was many Los to choose from. But I chose this one from the recent play along with scrap factor over on UK Scrappers

It was a LO where you couldn't use patterned paper and for some reason I hadn't added any journaling. As there wasn't much room to add any journalling I made a cheeky Cruicut using the decals cartridge too match the title.

I then added the journaling which tells how Meg loved this old buggy and popped it behind the photo.

Here's the completed LO.

Pink

The challnege here was to use this Lo from Shimelle as inspiration. I came up with this.

Using My minds eye Penny Lane collection I took the pink and the 7x7 square and took the embellishmnets from there.
I used a the large photo as teh 7x7 square as it allowed me to use a larger title without losing ficus on the photo.

Ahoy Matey

This is my take on half page scrapping. I did go ove a bit by adding the Jack Sparrow style charm at the top. For that I used a glass heart and tiger eye beads with a red flower at the centre.

The photo was taken for a pirates day they were having in school. I used Karen foster pirate paper and cut the coins and added them with 3d foam. To make it more girly I hadded red bling.

Guess Who?

It's Me. YES I really have srapped a page with me on. It may be 30 years old but it was all for another challenge to scrap a retro photo.

The photo was taken on my first birthday and the deco looks a bit brown. I had planned on doing a brown and orange Lo but felt with the deco it would have been to much so I chose to use a blue background to match my dress and pastels to pick up the flowers on the cake.

Strat Here

Another challenge from Shimelle. This time we had to start with big blocks on the background. I followed Shimelle's example using different papers and came up with this.

I used papers and clouds from this months quirky kit and used a journalling spot from the matchbox swap on UK Scrappers. The alphabet is from the never ending scrabble letters.

A step into the unknown

One of the many things I love about shimelle's crops is they makke you go into the unknown. This challenge set by Mary Anne from UK scrappers was to create a page using the printable accents. I've never tried hybrid scrapping before but heres my take.

I used apicture of the girls playing on the floor. Molly Loves making the baby laugh. The background paper is from My minds eye Penny lane collection which had cirles printed onto it. I used the printable accents and layed them ove the circles already printed and then in the top right corner.

Take a sketch

This was the first challenge posted on Shimelle's blog for the weekend crop.

I scrapped the photo of the goat from Walnut Tree Farm. I have to admit it was my favourite. I used kraft cardstock as a base and the script paper for the background. I also managed a bit of stash busting by using the scrabble letter for the font and the green jewel gem flowers.

A challenge within a challenge.

The challenge here was to use stickers from different collections. I have plenty of sticker but never use them.

I used the bunting and journalling spot from two seperate collections from sassafras which were in the my quirky kit. The bunting was the only thing I had left from my first kit as I forgot I had them. For the journalling I used the word sticker sheet farm fresh from october afternoon again these were left from an old project.

Oh HELP

A challenge to use just paper and 1 sheet if possible. This was just any challenge this could be hell.
But I managed it.

I choce a piece of AC paper which was double sided. Two for the price of one with pattern choices. I cut along the diagonals and used the pieces in between for the top and bottom. I used the border strip to make a bow. I couldn't resist adding half a butterfly from a hair clip that had seen better days. Sorry shimmelle.

Grids! Where to strart

When I first so this challenge on Shimmelle's site I thought where do you start. I'm not particularly fond of scrapping in grids. I had no inspiration and the opened a bar of chocolate and there like the golden ticket was a grid of chocolate.

With the added bonus it was in a square.

I had to move a few of the squares around before I was happy with the LO but it turned out just as sweet as the chocolate.
Now I have the perfect excuse for buying chocolate. It's purely for scrabooking inspiration.

A magic number

Being three and the challnege to use three embellishments the same.

Here I used flowers. I used scraps of the penny lane collection from My Minds Eye.
And discoverd that Three is teh magic number.

This Is me...

We were challenged by Shimmelle to create a signature LO. I couldn't think of one that I had and I started creating this Lo for another challenge.

Part of the way through I found I just wanted to keep adding buttons and flowers instead of only using three of one embellishment. That got me thinking that's what I do 'BEST'. Adding odd things that may not go with my original plan. That's my signature,

I heart....

What could I scrap that I loved and hadn't put created a LO for it. Well this is what I chose...

As I'm creating an album for the girls I decided to do a my sister LO.

I used two sheets of patterned paper from this months Quirky Kits and my beloved Cricut. I cut the hearts in two different sizes from the paisley Cartridge and the letters from the rock princess. I hand stitched around the heart and ribbon. I'd like to say I did it all my self but for this project Molly helped with the stitching.

Colour combination

This Weekend 12th - 14th August. Shimmelle had a creative weekend over on her blog.

The challenge here was to create a LO using Red, white and aqua. Who would have thought that dressing Molly in her blue and white dress to go to the farm would have made for the perfect photo for this challenge.

I used a white cardstock background and cut circles from a scrap of paper from another project. by adding the flowers adn butterflies it made it look more feminine. It also gave me the opportunity to use the red bling I've been gathering.

Race day.

Another challenge for the Cyber crop. This time our focus had to be on journalling. This is one thing I hate doing but know how important this is. If It's only a date. The photo I choose to scrap was my things from the race for life as there was lots to journal about.

The journalling isn't very clear here. But it tells of the reason behind doing the race for life, how I felt and some the little things that helped me through like my music.

Children grow where planted

The Challenge here was to create a page using material. I cut some flowers out of fabric scraps using the big shot and used Dear Lizzy spring adhesive fabric paper for the title. The subject for this Lo was the girls dressed in their Fifi head gear.

Easy book

Another class project from ATDML. This time a easy book. My theme was spring fun and I've used some of the old easter photos from over the years.

This is another challenge from this weekends Cyber crop. It was to use a sketch to create a LO. Having found this lovely bunting ribbon it remined me of the bunting for the royal wedding. So I dug out the photo of Minstral with her flag and some scraps left from kits and created this LO. The lettering is sonburn designs cool dude.

M is for ....

This was the second class of the weekend set by Ann. The Photo of Ross and Rhys painting the police car was perfect for the M for mischief stickers from 7 gypsies.

Our Butterfly

This class was set by Ann over on ATDML blog. It was a double LO with over lapping photos. The photos I used was odd one left over from other projects of Hayley.

A trip in the Tardis

I made this for the first class of the cyber crop over at ATDML. It was an interactive class and below is it opened to reveal the photos inside.

I used the paper that were in the Crafty templates lite kit.

Tag challenge ATDML

This Challenge was set over on the ATDML blog as part of their Cyber Crop. We had to create a tag project. For this I did 5 things about Meg that made her who she was.

This is a close up of one of the tags. With teh 3D flowers.
